GlucaGen hypokit (Glucagon)

GlucaGen HypoKit is for immediate, emergency use for adults and children diabetics who regularly use insulin.  The GlucaGen Hypokit is not to be used when the person is conscious as they can simply ingest sugar.  GlugaGen is only used on a patient that has passed out (become unconscious) from very low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). 

Glucagon is the active ingredient of GlucaGen and is a natural hormone.  Glucagon has the exact opposite effect of insulin. It works on the liver to produce glucose from glycogen to immediately combat low blood sugar.   Once glucose is released, the blood sugar of the patient will rise.
