Proglycem (Eudemine in UK) increases sugar levels in the blood.  Proglycem treats hypoglycemia when blood sugar has been very low for a long period of time.  It is very important to take this medicine exactly as prescribed because very low blood sugar can be dangerous, causing unusual behavior, increased sweating, and a fast pulse and may even lead to coma.
