Coartem (Artemether / Lumefantrine)

Coartem is called Riamet in Europe.

Coartem (Riamet in UK) is an antimalarial combination containing artemether and lumefantrine.   Coartem is used in both adults and children.

Coartem treats acute uncomplicated malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum, a single celled parasite.  It is not meant for prevention of malaria or the treatment severe cases of malaria.
